“I am thrilled to see the demanding work and devotion of our organization celebrated,” said David Corrigan, President of Corrigan Moving. “We know everything our offices and team members do each day to make our organization successful; it’s terrific to see that devotion celebrated. We have the most special group of employees at Corrigan, seeing that highlighted at this awards ceremony makes me very proud.”

The yearly Unigroup Learning Conference reverted to an in-person occasion this year. Hosted close to the Unigroup base office in St. Louis, MO, the conference is attended by several members from various United and Mayflower offices throughout the United States. After 3 days of events comprised of programs and courses, the event always concludes with an accolade ceremony.

“I cannot remember the last conference we didn’t win an award of some kind,” said Kirk Hensler, Vice President of Operations. “That speaks to the level of dependable character of our drivers, relocation experts and office workforce. It’s wonderful to never go home empty handed.”

While many of Corrigan’s offices earned top recognition, a few of Corrigan’s individual employees took home accolades in their specific divisions. For the second year running, Cassandra McCann from the Grand Rapids, MI location received the Heart of Quality award. This honor is presented only to the top level of relocation coordinators in the Unigroup system. To be qualified to earn this award, move coordinators must have sterling customer opinion scores and finish ongoing annual training.

“We’ve had numerous move coordinators win this award, and we are so proud of Cassandra for winning two years consecutively. She goes over and above for her clients. They recognize how much she does, we see it, and now she has an additional trophy to add to her collection,” said David Corrigan.

Myron Luikart works in Corrigan’s specialized Logistics department, handling mainly on global jobs. “Receiving 2 Masters Club Inner Circle awards in the same year is not easy to pull off, however he achieved it. If somebody needs to uncover a way to a problem completed, it’s Myron. He brings incredible expertise to our company and his customers. He services some of our largest-scale projects and conducts them all with tremendous attentiveness. He’s truly an asset for us, we’re pleased he received some recognition today,” said Kirk Hensler.

As well as to Luikart’s accomplishments, numerous members of Corrigan’s sales division were accepted into United’s elite Million Dollar Club for their exceptional sales performance. These professionals display an excellent devotion to excellence in annual booked linehaul income. Honored were, Brandon Becker, Ann Arbor, MI branch, Tim Carney, Cleveland, OH office, Rob Galardi, Rochester, NY location, Craig James, Auburn Hills, MI branch and Mike Sparks, Buffalo, NY office. “All of these individuals have gone beyond and away in sales and definitely displayed a dedication to assisting our clients,” stated David Corrigan. “We are honored to have all of these guys on our team.”

Three Corrigan offices received the Customer Excellence award, a notable award spotlighting the commitment to client satisfaction. After their relocation is completed, customers are asked to rate several stages of their move. This includes the primary quotation process, their move coordinator, packing, loading and delivery stages. Every office correlates to a various size category, depending on how many moves they handle each year. In order to win, each location needs to have the highest evaluation score in their size category, in addition to meeting or exceeding the values set for claims (amount of damage disclosed during a move), safety and certified labor.

“This is not an easy honor to achieve. Standards are tremendously high, and you have to be close to perfect in each category. To have 3 branches win for their specific size categories once again spotlights the pride we take in providing top quality to our customers,” said David Corrigan.

Lastly, the Cleveland branch was acknowledged with the Centers Network Performance honor. This honor is related to the Snap Move Container Program, where a customer hires our movers to load, transport and deliver their items inside wooden containers. This selection can quicken service for small jobs, compared to standard in-van moving options. The vaults are sent to the nearest United agent to where the client is relocating, who then aids with delivering the contents of those containers.

“The Centers Network Performance accolade is just given to 2 agents. One recipient is for agents that manage 0 to 200 containers, and the other recipient is for over 200 containers,” said Kirk Hensler. “Corrigan Cleveland earned the Centers Network Performance honor for 0-200 containers. They were greatest among 94 agents. Factors that are evaluated are claims, timeliness in getting the vaults ready for pick up, timeliness in delivering inbound vaults, and customer satisfaction.”

“It was great to return to in person this year,” said David Corrigan, remembering the conference. “It’s been a challenging few years navigating the pandemic and now employment shortages. Spending time with our peers and talking about how they’re managing problems gives us refreshed ideas to bring back. Several of these locations are working through the same struggles we are and it’s a good way to learn from one another, help each other and continue to foster beneficial relationships with our agents. We rely on them to help our customers in areas we don’t have a Corrigan branch. They understand they can always depend on Corrigan to deliver top tier service for each of their customers, as well. In all, this was a very successful conference and I couldn’t be prouder of how Corrigan Moving was portrayed and awarded.”
